Primacy 2 incorporates sublimation printing technology to create your color cards and thermal transfer for monochrome cards. In addition to these two technologies, Primacy 2 goes a step further: with its standard rewrite technology, you can print, erase, and reprint the same card in a matter of seconds. This economical and practical feature is particularly useful when issuing temporary cards and badges, or those likely to be updated regularly — such as visitor badges, student cards, and loyalty cards.
When you personalize a card with personal data, that data is sent to the printer to start the personalization process — and once printing is finished, it's readable on the ribbon. Primacy 2 addresses this with two technologies: Kineclipse®, which masks sensitive information on the ribbon after printing so it becomes illegible, and digital erasing, which automatically deletes the data sent to the printer from its memory.
Mechanical locking by key on the Primacy 2 prevents the printer from being opened without authorization — protecting consumables (cards, ribbons) and components like encoders from theft. The LCD screen version also displays QR codes for instant, on-screen help: scan the code whenever you need assistance to go directly to the information you need.
